Nilanka Perera

Nilanka did her undergraduate degree in medicine, MBBS(SL). She then went on to do postgraduate studies and medicine and completed MD (Medicine) and MRCP(UK) in 2013 and 2014 respectively. She was interested in tropical infectious diseases and was awarded the Commonwealth scholarship to do the DPhil in Oxford. During her DPhil in the Zitzmannlab she worked on the cellular unfolded protein response and oxidative stress in dengue infection and iminosugar treatment.
