Fundraising Events

The Zitzmann group participates in various external fundraising events. Please dig deep and sponsor us online - it's quick, easy and totally secure. If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box when donating as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no cost to you.

5K Race for Life

Members of the Zitzmann lab participate in the Race for Life, a fundraising event for Cancer Research UK which takes place in the Oxford University Parks. 

In 2013 members of the Zitzmann lab took part in the Race for Life on 14th July.

Oxford Town and Gown 10k

The Town and Gown is an annual 10k race event which takes places around our Oxford science area and the money raised goes to the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. Members of the Zitzmann lab and Oxford Glycobiology Institute have a team, The Oxford Drug Runners, and money has been raised for not only the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign but also Macmillan Cancer Support and the Emily Ash Trust.

Movember

The Zitzmann lab has a group called Zitzmos which takes part in Movember. Male members of the lab (Zitzmen or Mo Bros) grow their moustaches during the month of November with encouragement from the female members of the lab (Zitzwomen or Mo Sistas) to raise money for prostate cancer and other cancers in men. At the end of November the lab celebrates with a Mo Parté to “show your Mo”.
