Karolina Witt

Karolina joined the Zitzmann Lab in 2021 as a Research Assistant to work on various SARS-CoV-2-related projects and testing of antiviral compounds.

Prior to joining the lab she worked towards a PhD at St George’s University of London where she investigated antigen presentation on major histocompatibility receptors type I (MHC I) in Mycobacterium tuberculosis host-pathogen interactions.

Karolina obtained an MBBS from Wroclaw Medical University, Poland followed by an MSc in Cancer Therapeutics at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), UK.

She worked as research assistant in clinical trials of respiratory infections and was a clinical trial coordinator in phase I-III trials in both QMUL and Institute of Cancer Research, Sutton for several years.
